So March is almost over. Where has the time gone? It was a month of milestones for torndown. Our MySpace music player passed the 15,000 plays mark. In addition, some of the individual songs surpassed the 300 plays mark. We want to thank everyone who continues to listen to us through this access channel. Also, our Facebook page went over 390 fans. We didn’t quite hit out goal of 400 but we have added a lot of fans since October and we are so thankful for that, especially considering the lack of shows during that period. Finally, some of the episodes of Torndown TV which we launched in January have surpassed the 100 views mark. We want to thank everyone who is keeping tabs on the band and we promise more fun to come in the next few months. As always, send us your ideas.
March was also special because we were able to finally fill the drummer slot. His name is Dan Kuchta and he is the main focus of Torndown TV Episode #11. Click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUNRXQp22YY to watch the episode, meet Dan and welcome him to the TD family. Be sure to introduce yourself to him in person at the next show you come to.
Speaking of shows, we are looking forward to the show this Friday at The Waterfront Tavern in Holyoke. We know that it is a little out of the neighborhood to drive up to Holyoke, and we understand if you can’t make it, but we would love to see everyone. We will be sharing the stage with our friend from East Lake Recording Studio…Gabe MacFarland…and his band, Bound To Stand www.myspace.com/boundtostand . Take a minute and check them out. Please keep in mind that this is a 21+ show with a $5 cover.
Finally, we sent a bunch of CDs to local radio stations in an attempt to start getting some airplay. We think the music is radio quality and, if you agree, we ask that you call the stations below and request them to play a song off our Fallen EP. If they don’t play it, call them again the next day…and the day after...and the day after that…until they play it. We know that we sometimes ask a lot of you all, but radio airplay will give us a chance to take the music to the next level. So, if you believe in what we are trying to do, take a minute and give them a call. Thanks again and God bless.
